Fitness Instructors' Insurance

At Independents, we can arrange very competitive liability insurance cover for fitness instructors, personal trainers and related professionals (including sports massage therapists).

The policy is tailored to meet the needs of each client whether they are a sole trader or a limited company and whether they employ other instructors directly or on a freelance (self-employed) basis.

We can include Public Liability and Employers' Liability as follows:

Public Liability - this covers your liability at law for bodily injury to third parties or loss or damage to their property. The cover includes advice given which is essential for personal trainers. Our standard options are limit of indemnity of £2m or £5m.

Employers' Liability - the policy covers your liability at law for bodily injury to employees. This insurance is compulsory under the Employers' Liability (Compulsory Insurance) Act 1967 and is subject to a minimum limit of indemnity of £10m.

We work very closely with the Register of Exercise Professionals (REP) and our scheme is designed to dovetail with those cases that fall outside of the REP's scheme.
